The Akktiv Pro Carbon Elite insoles are designed to fit almost all types of athletic and everyday shoes. They follow standard European sizing. Their slim profile ensures that they will not unnecessarily “raise” your foot and will preserve comfort inside the shoe.

The carbon layer is firmer than ordinary foam, and that is precisely its strength—it provides stability that soft insoles cannot. Nevertheless, Akktiv Pro Carbon Elite are covered with a layer of high-tech EVA foam that softens contact. You will find the insoles more responsive and stable, which actually reduces foot fatigue during prolonged exertion.

The difference lies in energy return. Gel insoles only absorb impact (the energy “sinks” into them). Akktiv’s carbon base acts like a spring—it absorbs energy when you step down and “returns” it to you as you push off. In addition, carbon does not compress or lose its shape over time, unlike gel and ordinary foam.
